I’m a sucker for a song with words that don’t really fit the melody because it feels like the singer has a lot of things he really needs to say.

“The role of the artist is exactly the same as the role of the lover. If I love you, I have to make you conscious of the things you don’t see.”

I adore few words as much as “crazy”. Once on a first date, a woman specified that she wasn’t crazy and all attraction I felt toward her evaporated. I find no thrill, beauty, or romance in the “sane”. Would I like to hear a crazy story? Yes. A sane story? A story sanitized? I’ll pass. “Crazy” sounds as beautiful as its meaning. It’s one of my favorite words to sing or hear sung.

"That’s it, it’s split, it can’t recover…Just frame the halves and call them a whole…"

"Be rational, be wise, assess the situation…"

"Each day drags by until nighttime descends…"

"I got a right to sing the blues…"

"The birds in the sky would be sad and lonely…"
